Certainly, a consideration in preparing to volunteer abroad is to ask placement organizations the question :-
´Where does my money go?´

BOLIVIA VOLUNTEERS in Cochabamba, Bolivia is another volunteer placement organization worth considering.
Unlike most other placement organizations, their volunteers do not pay to volunteer.
They pay only for their accommodation and food.

Dear Sir/Madam
Re: REQUEST FOR VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS
On behalf of LIDEFO Uganda, I would like to request you help us on how we can receive volunteers and interns to support the challenge a head of us.
Needy families and individuals in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including poverty and illnesses, low wages, jobless, domestic violence, or divorce, which all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and elderly are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of clients we serve.
Would you like to help us make a difference? We need people like you to donate time, energy and experience in areas such as, Training and Education, Women & Youth Micro Enterprise Development, Beekeeping and Honey Processing, Fundraising and Marketing, Drama & sports, home visits, Information Technology & Communication, Environmental protection support.
Together, we will be able to help many of these families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but also to work toward a bright future with programs in Job training education, counselling, Women and Youth assistance and Institutional Capacity Building. Our volunteers say they feel rewarded many times over for the help they provide in making a difference in the lives of others especially the disadvantaged communities we serve.
Please contact us at e-mail lidefo.base1@gmail.com or litrec_dan@yahoo.co.uk Tel. +256 772 629 673 to find out more about LIDEFO Uganda visit our website www.lidefo.org

I went to Tanzania in 2005 with the Volunteer Africa programme. A dedicated team supports you all the way through the experience - one of the best of my life!

Thoroughly recommended!
