Charity work abroad seems to have become the occupation of those on a ‘gap year,’ or those who have chosen to dedicate their lives to it. The reality is, a lot of us have too many commitments such as mortgages, children and partners to just ‘get up and go’ no matter how much we may wish to make a difference. So our charitable efforts become a direct debit every month, along with a bi-annual update on the children, animals or water pump we helped support.

International Water Day–Clean Water for Everyone

This morning after I woke up, I walked to the kitchen and drank a glass of tap water. Not once did I think to myself how fortunate I was to have clean water pouring right from kitchen sink. I’m assuming that most people reading this post can get a clean drink of water from almost anywhere whether it be their kitchen sink, filtered water pump, water bottles or drinking fountains.
